Before you start

  • You need the captain invitation your league emailed you. Leagues invite captains in one of two ways: for a team registration, when teams sign up for a season, or straight from your team’s page, for a season without a registration. Either way the email and the steps to accept it are the same. Can’t find it? Check your spam folder, or ask the league to send it again.
  • Without a registration, Your team shows your roster and its changes only, with no team code, invitations or team fee, so skip steps 4 and 10.
  • Your league approves the players you add or remove, every player who joins with your invitation or your team code, and a new team name. Until it does, they show as Waiting for approval.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open the email from your league and click Accept invitation.

A page opens saying which team you’ll captain, like Harbor Kings, with your email under it.

Common questions

Who approves the players on my team?
The league does. Every player you add or remove, every player who joins with your invitation or your team code, and a new team name wait for the league’s approval, and you see them as Waiting for approval until it decides. Sending invitations, sharing or replacing the team code and paying the fee don’t need approval themselves.
What’s the difference between Copy code and Copy link?
Copy code copies just the six letters and numbers, for players to type on the league’s website under Have a team code?. Copy link copies a web link that opens your team’s join page with the code already filled in. Share opens your device’s share menu, to send it by text or a messaging app.
Someone has our code who shouldn’t. What do I do?
Click Replace code…. The old code stops working at once. Players who already joined stay on the team.
Can I invite players by email instead?
Yes. On the Invitations tab, type their email addresses, pressing Enter after each one, then click Send invitations. A player who accepts waits for the league’s approval, like everyone else who joins.
Do I have to pay?
Only if your league charges the team fee to the captain. Then Pay for the team shows on Your team, and your team’s place isn’t held until it’s paid. In some leagues each player pays for themselves instead, and some are free.
Can I do this on my phone?
Yes. On a phone, Your team is in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
How do I get back to my team later?
Add /admin to your league’s website address, like ironbridge.scorelm.com/admin, and sign in with your email and the password you chose. Your team opens.
