Tournament brackets
ScoreLM handles single-elimination brackets out of the box -- with seeding, byes, auto-advance, and a public bracket page. This walkthrough covers setting one up from scratch and the edge cases (forfeits, withdrawals, mid-tournament edits).

Create a tournament season
Go to Seasons → New season and pick 'Tournament' as the format. Give it a name (something like 'Spring Championship' or 'End of Season Cup'), pick the date range, and assign the teams that are participating. You can also have a tournament running alongside a regular season -- the two are independent and don't share standings.

Pick a bracket format and size
Choose 'Single elimination' as the format. The bracket size auto-fits to the number of teams you assigned -- 4, 8, 16, 32, etc. If your team count isn't a power of two (say 6 teams), the bracket includes byes for the higher seeds in round one. Each team gets a path to the final visualized in the bracket diagram.

Seed the teams
Open the Bracket tab and drag teams into seed positions, or click 'Auto-seed' to seed by regular season standings, win percentage, or random. Top seeds play bottom seeds in round one, the way most brackets work. You can override any matchup manually if your league has a quirky seeding rule.

Let auto-advance handle the rest
When a game is marked final, the winner automatically moves into the next round's matchup. The bracket diagram updates, the next game is created with the right teams, and you don't have to do anything. If a game ends in a tie and you need to override (e.g., a forfeit), you can manually advance a team from the bracket admin -- this is logged so there's a paper trail.

Re-seed if you need to (consolation, double-elim later)
Mid-tournament re-seeding is rare in single-elim, but you might need it if a team withdraws, a game gets forfeited, or you're running a consolation bracket for early-round losers. Open the bracket and click 'Re-seed' on the round you want to adjust. Already-played games stay locked; only future matchups update. Double-elim and round-robin-into-bracket formats are on the roadmap -- email us if you need them sooner.
