ScoreLM vs LeagueApps
LeagueApps is a registration tool — its main job is signing up thousands of youth participants with tiered pricing and dues plans. ScoreLM is a league operations platform — the branded website, live scoring on an iPad, real-time stats across every team, tournament brackets, ticketing, broadcast overlays for streams. Registration is one part of running a league; ScoreLM handles the rest of the job.

Why leagues pick ScoreLM
- Game day is a real product. If someone is going to score a live game on an iPad and a broadcast is going to show a scorebug, ScoreLM is built end-to-end for that workflow. LeagueApps stops at "the game is scheduled."
- Every league looks like its own brand. ScoreLM gives every league its own subdomain and sets up a custom domain automatically when you're ready. The URL, the theme, the copy are all the league's — not "yourleague.leagueapps.com."
- Stats are the point. ScoreLM re-derives every stat from box scores on every save, so standings, leaderboards, and player pages update the moment a game finishes. LeagueApps doesn't do this.
- Ticketing without a second vendor. Sell online, take cash and card at the door, scan at the gate — all inside the same admin that runs the league, with revenue landing directly in your league's bank via Stripe.
- Payouts are yours immediately. Your league's own Stripe account holds the money — we don't. No intermediary, no waiting for the platform to remit.
What ScoreLM doesn't try to be
If your operation depends on any of these, we're not the tool for that piece:
- Deep tiered registration billing. Sibling discounts, per-program coupon codes, multi-participant accounts, installment plans across four months. ScoreLM handles registration through Forms with waivers, per-team pricing, and card checkout — enough for most leagues, not the depth of a dedicated registration platform.
- Youth federation integrations. If you're mandated to sync rosters or eligibility with a governing body's system, not on our roadmap.
- A dues-collection back office. Adjacent to what we do; not the core product.
If registration is the ONLY thing you're solving, we're not that. If you also need to actually run the league — the site, the games, the stats, the streams, the gate — the registration tool stops at the checkout page.
Feature-by-feature
Registration scope
LeagueApps' whole product is registration configuration. ScoreLM handles registration through Forms — waivers, per-team pricing, custom questions, card checkout, roster intake tied to the player and team records. Enough for most leagues. If registration configuration is the specific problem you're hiring software to solve, LeagueApps is a dedicated tool for that job.
Payment flow
Your league's own Stripe account holds the money — we don't. Payouts land in your bank on Stripe's normal cycle, refunds run through your Stripe dashboard, no intermediary between you and your revenue. LeagueApps routes payments through their platform layer, which slows payout and adds a middleman.
Broadcast overlays
ScoreLM ships scorebug overlays that drop straight into your streaming software, plus a controller you run from courtside — score, clock, period, team logos, sponsor pop-ins. If you stream your games, this alone is often the biggest reason leagues switch. LeagueApps does not offer this.
Each league is its own product
Every ScoreLM league gets its own branded site, its own theme, its own custom domain, its own users, its own admin. If you're an operator running several leagues, or you want your league to look like its own product rather than a page on a shared portal, this matters. LeagueApps doesn't operate at that layer.
FAQ
Can I move from LeagueApps to ScoreLM mid-season?
Yes. Most operators import teams and players, run scheduling, scoring, and the public site on ScoreLM immediately, and keep LeagueApps for the current registration cycle if they've already collected fees through it. Season two is fully on ScoreLM.
Does ScoreLM handle registration payments?
Yes. Payments run through your league's own Stripe account so funds land in your bank directly — no middleman holding your money. Registration forms support waivers, per-team pricing, discounts, and custom questions.
Does LeagueApps have broadcast overlays?
No. If you want a scorebug on your stream you'd need a third-party tool bolted on. ScoreLM ships this in the box.
Which one is cheaper?
LeagueApps charges per participant on top of platform fees, so cost climbs with signup volume. ScoreLM prices per league, flat. For a mid-size season, ScoreLM is usually meaningfully cheaper.
